Delta Exchange vs CoinDCX: which is better for crypto F&O?
Both are FIU-registered Indian exchanges that take rupees and list Bitcoin and Ether options. For a futures and options trader, the differences that matter are where the volume is, what each trade costs, and what you can automate.

From our own records
What crossing the spread cost us on Delta
Volume matters because it narrows the spread you pay on every market order. These are the median costs of our engine's market orders on Delta's Bitcoin options, by days to expiry. We do not trade on CoinDCX, so we have no fills there to set beside them.

Counted on 5 November 2026 from Algoclear's own records of the orders its engine sent to Delta Exchange India and the account ledgers members connected. Exact counts, no member named. Spread cost is how far from the mid price a market order filled, as a share of the option's price, over the 90 days to 4 November 2026.
Which one is for you
Choose Delta Exchange India if you
- trade futures and options, and want the largest published crypto F&O volume of any rupee exchange in India
- scalp Bitcoin or Ether futures: no closing fee within 30 minutes while Delta's offer runs
- want to start from ₹1 by UPI, with Bitcoin options in 0.001 BTC lots
- want to automate options, through Tradetron, Delta's API or Algoclear
Choose CoinDCX if you
- want to deposit and withdraw coins, not only rupees
- trade Solana options
- trade options in modest volumes while its fee refund runs
- often withdraw less than ₹500 at a time
Our verdict
- For futures and options, Delta Exchange India: its volume is published, quick futures trades cost half, and option strategies can be automated on it.
- CoinDCX is the broader app for holding coins. We built Algoclear on Delta, and after 5,422 live orders we would choose it again.

On Delta's terms. Algoclear's link fills in the code for you.
Liquidity: why it decides an F&O comparison
For a futures or options trader, the fee is the small cost. The big one is the spread: the gap between the price you can buy at and the price you can sell at, which you pay every time you trade at market. Spreads stay tight where there is volume, so the first question to ask of any F&O exchange is how much trades there.
Delta Exchange India answers it in public. Its market-data API showed $8.41 billion of futures and options traded in the 24 hours to 2:56 AM IST on 5 November 2026, with $1.3 billion held open. Its Bitcoin and Ether options alone traded $3.66 billion, 2.2 times Binance's options in the same window. No rupee crypto exchange in India publishes more.
CoinDCX does not publish a volume of its own to set beside it. Its public futures market-data feed carries Binance's figures, not trades on CoinDCX's own books. That does not prove its order books are thin. It means you have to judge them from its option chain, strike by strike, before you trade.
We can show what Delta's depth cost us. Over the 90 days to 4 November 2026, our engine's market orders on Bitcoin options 3–7 days from expiry filled a median 1.3% of the option's price away from the mid, across 4,943 fills. On expiry day the median rose to 4%, so sell a day or more out when you can, and use limit orders.
Fees: close on options, Delta ahead on quick futures
On options the two charge the same rate today: 0.01% of notional, the value of the Bitcoin or Ether behind the contract. Delta caps the fee at 3.5% of the premium before GST, about 4.1% with it; CoinDCX caps it at 4% including GST. Delta's 0.01% is its "Options Carnival" offer price, and its standard rate is 0.03%.
CoinDCX goes further for now. Its offer: fees refunded to zero on up to 1 million USDT of notional, while the offer runs. For most retail option volumes, that makes CoinDCX's option fees lower than Delta's while it lasts. It is CoinDCX's clearest win in this comparison, and we would rather say so than hide it.
Futures go the other way. Both charge 0.05% for a market order and 0.02% for a limit order. Delta's Scalper Offer then waives the closing fee on a Bitcoin or Ether futures trade closed within 30 minutes (15 minutes on other coins), which halves the cost of a quick trade: $4.00 instead of $8.00 on $8,000 of Bitcoin. GST of 18% goes on top of the fees at both.
Keep the two costs in proportion. On $8,000 of Bitcoin options the fee is $0.80; a spread of 1.3% on the premium usually costs more than that. A fee refund helps, but the depth of the book decides most of what an option trade costs.
Products, leverage and automation
Both list Bitcoin and Ether options with daily, weekly and monthly expiries. Delta adds tokenised gold; CoinDCX adds Solana. Delta's Bitcoin option is 0.001 BTC a lot and its Ether option 0.01 ETH, and every Bitcoin and Ether expiry settles in cash at 5:30 PM IST. Delta also lists 250 perpetual futures. How Delta's expiries work.
Delta allows up to 200x on Bitcoin and Ether futures, against CoinDCX's 100x. Treat that as room for margin, not a target: the traders who lose accounts fastest are the ones who use all of it. What a perpetual future is.
Automation is where Delta pulls ahead for options. Tradetron's broker list, read on 5 November 2026, shows Delta India for crypto futures and options, and CoinDCX for spot and futures. Delta also lets you trade from TradingView charts, publishes an API with a testnet, and runs a demo site with virtual funds. CoinDCX offers an API too, built for its rupee markets.
Algoclear is built on Delta Exchange India alone. It runs option strategies on your own Delta account, with stops, re-entries and adjustments, through a trade-only key that cannot withdraw. How it works.
Deposits, withdrawals and crypto transfers
Delta takes rupees from ₹1, by UPI, IMPS, NEFT or RTGS from an account in your own name, and deposits have been free since 23 March 2024. CoinDCX's rupee deposits start at ₹500. Withdrawals favour CoinDCX: from ₹100 there, against ₹500 on Delta, where a withdrawal is free and reaches your bank in at least an hour, 24 hours at most.
The bigger difference is crypto. CoinDCX lets you deposit and withdraw coins, so what you buy there can go to your own wallet. Delta Exchange India is rupees in, rupees out: nothing moves on-chain. Its contracts are priced in dollars at a fixed ₹85, so profit and loss land in your balance in rupees with no conversion to think about.
Safety, tax and track record
Both are Indian companies registered with FIU-IND, India's anti-money-laundering authority: Delta Exchange India through Excelium Technologies Private Limited, registration VA00041101, and CoinDCX through Neblio Technologies Pvt Ltd, one of the first 28 providers registered, in December 2023. Both are in the finance ministry's December 2024 list of registered providers.
CoinDCX is the bigger app, with 10 million+ installs on Google Play against Delta's 5 million+. Coinbase took a minority stake in October 2025 at a $2.45 billion valuation; the Competition Commission of India cleared it in December 2025. About $44 million was taken from an internal operational account on 19 July 2025; CoinDCX said customer funds were untouched.
Neither deducts TDS on futures and options. How F&O profit is taxed is a separate, unsettled question. Crypto F&O tax in India.
What registration does not cover
FIU-IND registration is about money laundering, not investor protection. Crypto is unregulated in India, and there may be no regulatory recourse for a loss on either exchange.
Which should you pick?
Pick Delta Exchange India if futures and options are what you trade. It is where the published F&O volume is, quick futures trades cost half, deposits start at ₹1, and the tools to automate an option strategy connect to it.
Pick CoinDCX if you want one app to buy coins, move them to a wallet and trade some derivatives on the side, or if you trade Solana options. Its option-fee refund is worth having while it lasts.
Nothing stops you holding both: they are separate accounts with separate KYC. If you are choosing one for F&O, we would choose Delta, and we built Algoclear on it for that reason.
How we compared
We read each exchange's own fee pages, product pages and public market data on 5 November 2026, and the public record on registration. Where CoinDCX does not publish a number, we say so rather than estimate it. Rolling 24-hour volume read from each exchange's own public market-data API at 5 November 2026, 2:56 AM IST: contracts traded times the underlying's price. One window on one day; volumes move every day.
Algoclear is a Delta referral partner and builds its product on Delta Exchange India, which this page says up front. Neither exchange saw this comparison before it was published, and every fact links to its source below.
Questions
Delta Exchange vs CoinDCX: your questions
Which is better for F&O, Delta Exchange or CoinDCX?
For futures and options, Delta Exchange India. It publishes the largest crypto F&O volume of any rupee exchange in India ($8.41 billion in 24 hours on 5 November 2026), waives the closing fee on quick Bitcoin and Ether futures trades, and is the one Tradetron lists for crypto options. CoinDCX suits you better for crypto transfers or Solana options.
Is Delta Exchange cheaper than CoinDCX?
On futures, for quick trades: both charge 0.05% taker and 0.02% maker, and Delta waives the closing fee on Bitcoin and Ether trades closed within 30 minutes. On options, not while CoinDCX's refund runs: both charge 0.01% of notional, but CoinDCX refunds it to zero on up to 1 million USDT of notional. Work out a Delta fee.
Is Delta Exchange safer than CoinDCX?
Both are Indian companies registered with FIU-IND and named in the government's December 2024 list of registered providers. Registration covers anti-money-laundering rules, not trading losses: crypto is unregulated in India, so keep on either exchange only what you trade with. Is Delta Exchange legal in India?
Can I withdraw crypto from Delta Exchange, as on CoinDCX?
No. Delta Exchange India is rupees in, rupees out: you deposit and withdraw INR through a bank account in your own name. CoinDCX lets you deposit and withdraw coins.
Does CoinDCX or Delta Exchange deduct TDS on futures and options?
Neither does. Delta deducts 1% TDS only on spot sales. How futures and options profit is taxed is still unsettled: crypto F&O tax in India.
Which has more leverage, Delta Exchange or CoinDCX?
Delta Exchange India allows up to 200x on Bitcoin and Ether futures; CoinDCX up to 100x. More leverage only raises the ceiling: the higher you go, the smaller the move that wipes out your margin, so most traders use far less.
Can I use Algoclear with CoinDCX?
No. Algoclear connects only to Delta Exchange India, through a trade-only API key that cannot withdraw. Connect a Delta API key.
