A deposit held up by a banking partner can take up to 24 hours; one stuck in the banking system, up to 3 bank working days.
Deposit by UPI in five steps
The fastest way in. Do it once your bank account shows as verified.
Add and verify your bank account
Under Bank Details, enter the account number and IFSC. Delta sends ₹1 to check the account is in your name.
Add a UPI ID on that account
Up to 10 IDs, each linked to your verified bank. Type carefully: an added UPI ID cannot be deleted.
Tap Add Funds and enter the amount
From ₹1 up to ₹1,00,000 by UPI.
Pay from your UPI app
On a computer, scan the QR code; in Delta's app, Pay opens your UPI app. Then press "I have deposited".
Check your wallet
UPI usually lands within 15 minutes. If it hasn't, raise a ticket with the UTR number, the date and time, and a screenshot.
Why a deposit doesn't arrive, and the fix
Most stuck deposits are one of these, and each has a fix.
- Paid from a bank account you have not added to Delta. Deposits from any other account are rejected, even one in your own name.
- Paid from a UPI ID that is not whitelisted to your verified bank. The money goes back to your account within 3 bank working days.
- Sent IMPS, NEFT or RTGS from a UPI app. Delta's guide says to use your bank's own app or net banking.
- Paid through a credit card app. Delta does not allow it: the money is refunded, and the refund can take longer.
- Sent NEFT or RTGS to the IMPS-only account, or to beneficiary details saved weeks ago. Copy them from the deposit page each time.
- Tried to add a bank account in someone else's name. Delta's penny drop only verifies an account in your own name.
- Sent less than ₹2,00,000 by RTGS. Use IMPS or NEFT for smaller amounts.
- Still missing? Send Delta's support the UTR number, the date and time, and a screenshot of the payment.
Withdraw to your bank in four steps
Open Wallet, then Withdraw
Pick the added bank account the money should go to.
Enter the amount in rupees
From ₹500 to ₹10,00,000 a request. Only money not in use as margin can come out.
Submit and verify
Enter the code Delta emails you, and your 2FA code if it is on. An OTP to your registered phone works too.
Track it under Transactions
From "awaiting process" to "completed": usually within 1 hour, up to 24 hours if it goes to a manual audit.

Funding Delta: the strengths and the limits
What we like
- Free both ways: no deposit fee since 23 March 2024, no withdrawal fee
- Start from ₹1, and UPI usually lands within 15 minutes
- No currency risk: every dollar of profit or loss is ₹85
- No TDS on futures and options, so an F&O profit is not cut at source
- Money moves only between Delta and bank accounts verified in your name
What to watch
- No crypto deposits or withdrawals: a trading venue, not a wallet
- A UPI ID cannot be deleted once added, so one typo stays on the account
- A withdrawal flagged for audit can take up to 24 hours

How money moves on Delta Exchange India
Delta Exchange India runs on rupees. You fund it from a bank account in your own name, trade futures and options quoted in US dollars, and withdraw back to the same account. In Delta's words, it does not deal in cryptocurrencies directly: you trade crypto-based derivatives with rupees, so there are no crypto deposits and no crypto withdrawals.
For an F&O trader that is a feature. Profit and loss settle in rupees, there is no wallet to secure, and no on-chain transfer to wait for. If you want to buy coins and move them to your own wallet, use an exchange that allows crypto withdrawals, such as CoinDCX. For trading derivatives, Delta's rupee rails are simpler, and the first deposit can be as small as ₹1, where CoinDCX's minimum is ₹500.
Before your first deposit, add your bank account under Bank Details with its account number and IFSC. Delta sends ₹1 to it, and once that lands the account is verified. Only an account in your own name passes. From then on, Delta accepts deposits only from your added accounts (even another account of your own is rejected) and sends withdrawals only to them.
Depositing: UPI for speed, bank transfer for size
UPI is the quickest route: from ₹1 up to ₹1,00,000 a deposit, usually in your wallet within 15 minutes. You can add up to 10 UPI IDs, each linked to your verified bank account. Add them carefully, because a UPI ID cannot be deleted once it is on your account.
For larger amounts, use a bank transfer from your bank's own app or net banking, never from a UPI app. Tap Add Funds, choose Bank Transfer, and add the beneficiary Delta shows for the method you want. IMPS takes up to ₹5,00,000 at a time. NEFT has no upper limit, and RTGS starts at ₹2,00,000. Each usually lands within 30 minutes.
Copy the beneficiary details from Delta's deposit page each time. Delta keeps separate accounts for IMPS and for NEFT or RTGS, and says its banking details can change, so a payee saved months ago may be the wrong one.
Deposits have been free since 23 March 2024. Before that, Delta charged 1% plus GST on every deposit.
Deposits and margin: the F&O trader's rule
Delta trades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and UPI usually keeps up. But Delta says deposits can take longer on bank holidays, during maintenance and in outages, and a delay at a banking partner can stretch to 24 hours.
Until a deposit lands, it is not margin. Delta's help centre is plain about what that means: your positions keep running, and liquidations keep happening, on the margin already in your wallet. Delta cannot pause a position while the bank catches up, and losses caused by a deposit delay are not compensated.
So top up before you need to. Keep a buffer above your margin when you sell options or hold leveraged futures, and when margin is tight, use UPI, which usually lands within 15 minutes.
A deposit in transit is not margin
If a short option runs against you, money sent in that moment may not land in time to save the position. Fund the account before the trade, not during it.
Withdrawing to your bank
Open Wallet, choose Withdraw, and enter the amount in rupees: at least ₹500 and at most ₹10,00,000 a request. You can withdraw only money not in use for trading, so margin held by open positions stays put until you close them. Pick one of your added bank accounts, submit, and confirm with the code Delta emails you, plus your 2FA code if you use one.
Most withdrawals clear automatically, within about an hour. One that looks unusual, is large, or trips a risk filter goes to a manual audit, which Delta says can take up to 24 hours. You can follow it on the Transactions page, where the status moves from "awaiting process" to "completed". There is no fee.
Delta deducts no TDS on futures and options. The 1% TDS applies only to the sell value of spot trades, so an F&O profit is not cut at source on its way out. How that profit is taxed is a separate question: crypto F&O tax, explained.
Why your balance shows dollars: the fixed ₹85 rate
Every contract on Delta Exchange India is quoted, margined and settled in US dollars, but your balance stays in rupees inside the Indian banking system. Delta bridges the two at a fixed ₹85 to the dollar, whatever the market rate is doing.
Delta's own example: deposit ₹15,000 and your account shows $176.47. If a trade then makes $10, that is ₹850 more to withdraw. A $10 loss takes away the same ₹850. When you withdraw, you type the amount in rupees.
The upshot for a trader: your result depends on the trade alone. A weaker or stronger rupee does not add to it or take from it, which keeps a strategy's numbers honest from one month to the next.
When a deposit is late
First check the usual causes: was it paid from an added bank account or whitelisted UPI ID, by the right method, to the beneficiary shown on the deposit page that day? A UPI payment from an unlisted ID is refunded to the source account within 3 bank working days, not credited.
If everything matches, give it time. Delta says a delay at a banking partner can take up to 24 hours to clear, and a payment stuck inside the banking system up to 3 bank working days, not counting weekends and bank holidays. Then raise a ticket and send the UTR number, the date and time of the payment, and a screenshot.
Once the money is in, it trades on the exchange where Indian crypto F&O volume is: Delta's public data showed $8.41 billion of futures and options traded in one 24-hour window on 5 November 2026, the most of any rupee crypto exchange in India that publishes its volume.
Questions
Delta Exchange deposit and withdrawal: your questions
What is the minimum deposit on Delta Exchange India?
₹1 by UPI, IMPS or NEFT. RTGS starts at ₹2,00,000. UPI takes up to ₹1,00,000 a deposit and IMPS up to ₹5,00,000; NEFT and RTGS have no upper limit.
How long does a Delta Exchange deposit take?
UPI usually lands within 15 minutes, and IMPS, NEFT and RTGS within 30. A delay at a banking partner can take up to 24 hours, and a payment stuck in the banking system up to 3 bank working days.
Why is my Delta Exchange withdrawal taking so long?
Most withdrawals clear within about an hour. One that is large, unusual or trips a risk filter goes to a manual audit, which can take up to 24 hours. Track it on the Transactions page; Delta's support contacts you if a compliance check cancels it.
Can I deposit USDT or crypto on Delta Exchange India?
No. Delta Exchange India takes rupees only, by UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, and withdraws rupees only, to your own bank account. You trade crypto derivatives, not coins.
Can I deposit from a friend's or family member's bank account?
No. Deposits are accepted only from bank accounts you have added to Delta, and only an account in your own name can be added. A payment from any other account is rejected, even one in your own name that you have not added.
Is there a fee to deposit or withdraw on Delta Exchange?
No. Deposits have been free since 23 March 2024, when Delta dropped its 1% plus GST charge, and withdrawals are free too. You pay only trading fees: Delta's charges, worked out.
Why does Delta Exchange show my balance in dollars?
Contracts are quoted and settled in US dollars at a fixed ₹85 a dollar, while your money stays in rupees. A ₹15,000 deposit shows as $176.47, and the rupee's moves do not change your balance.
Can I withdraw money that is in an open position?
No. Only funds not being used for trading can be withdrawn. Margin held by open futures or options positions frees up when you close them or they expire.
