  • Never forget a stop

It is part of the strategy, set at entry.

  • Lock in a winner

Stop moves to cost, then follows the profit.

  • Out by your time

A square-off time closes everything, whatever happens.

  3. 3

What it does notIn a fast market the exit price can be worse than the stop level.

Questions about Stops & trailing

How does stop-to-cost work?

Once the position reaches a profit you choose, the stop loss moves to your entry cost. From then on the trade can no longer end as a loss beyond fees and slippage.

What is a trailing stop on an options position?

A trailing stop follows your profit upward in steps you set, for example every $10. If profit falls back by the trail distance, the position is closed and the gain is kept.

Does it work when I am offline?

Yes. The engine runs on Algoclear’s servers, so stops, targets and trailing keep working whether or not your phone or laptop is on.

Your exits, handled. Every second, every night.
